2016 middle school SEC Jamboree #1 info:

With the changes to middle school athletics this season 6th grade runners will now be able to compete in the 2 mile race with the 7th and 8th grade runners. There will be a varsity race for each gender and will include grades 6, 7, and 8. This race is for all of your athletes ready to compete the 2 mile distance. There is no limit to the number of athletes you can enter in this race, but as usual only the top seven will be counted as your team. All additional athletes (your 8th runner and up) for your team will not be counted in the team scoring.

There will also be a reserve race for any athlete, 6th , 7th or 8th grade that is not quite ready to race the 2 mile distance. While hosts will provide an official time for the reserve race, there will be no team scoring for the reserve race.

4:15 Boys Varsity Race 2 miles
4:45 Girls Varsity Race 2 mile
5:15 Boys Reserve Race 1.5 mile
5:35 Girls Reserve Race 1.5 mile

Lincoln will be hosting the Middle School SEC Jamboree #1 on Wednesday, September 14th at Rolling Hills County Park.

COACHES if you have not already done so, please enter your entries on athletic.net by Monday night.

The race will take place at Rolling hills county park at 7660 Stony Creek Road Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. For race day, school buses will be admitted free of charge. A parent with a participating athlete in uniform in the vehicle with them will also be admitted free of charge. All other vehicles coming to the race will be charged $6 per car. Please let them know you are there for the race or you could be charged an out of county fee if you are coming from a different county.

Please park in the lot next to the water park if you plan to leave before the end of the last race. All buses need to park in lot one. The road will be closed often during the race because runners will be crossing the road. The exit/entrance to lot 2 will be closed after races start because runners cross the exit/entrance. If you are willing to turn left when leaving lot three and drive all the way around the park (a few miles) you can exit without crossing the course. If you turn right you will be stopped until the end of the race (this could be a 20 min wait).

Park entrance is located directly across the street from the movie theater. Park entrance is behind the BP gas station. Look for Adrian Cross Country sign before gas station.
Follow the road thru the gate and veer to the left. Take that road ¼ mile down to one way sign that directs you to the Stubnitz Center. Once you reach the bottom parking lot the actual course is to your left. You will see an open field from the parking lot.
